This stuff is amazing. 20 minutes of scrubbing stainless steel frying pans with regular soap and disappointment or 1 minute soak with hot water and bar keepers friend and a light brillo scrub, the choice is easy. In the attached photo you can see: 1) pan after use, 2) pan after 5-10 minutes scrub with sponge and soap then brillo and 3) 1 minute soak with hot water and barkeepers friend (1tbsp) and then quick brillo scrub (total cleaning time for this 2 minutes).

Just look.

Just look at my stainless sink after attacking it with this stuff and a JetScrubz. I use this every weekend on the stainless sink and sometimes on my pots and pans.

I’ve used Bar Keeper’s Friend for years on my All Clad cookware, per All Clad’s own recommendation 19 years ago. I received the All Clad Cookware Cleaner today, and after dinner, used the All Clad Cleaner on two pans and the Bar Keeper’s Friend on the other two.

Stainless Pots & Pans BEST FRIEND

If you have stainless cookware, this stuff is basically the best thing ever. I keep it in the cabinet directly over the sink, and use it frequently. Steel wool WILL scratch your pans. This stuff will not. Note however that this stuff is a little too coarse to make a pan “Mirror” shine – that takes a far finer paste. But the ‘brushed’ stainless steel interiors of All-Clad, Calphalon, Cuisinart etc, will be beautiful with this product – even if you have hard-cooked oil that seems impossible to remove with the usual cleansers.

If you look at commercial pots and pans, none of theme are ever truly ‘sparkling’. That’s just how it works in commercial kitchens – so if you want a highly polished set of pans for ‘show’ purposes, I suggest you buy a set for ‘show’ and use another set for actual cooking because no pans will ever be 100% sparkling and shiny for long.

i bought this barkeepers friend to clean the stainless steel inside of my water boiler from this nasty city water where i live. I do use a water filter on my sink and only fill my water boiler with filtered water but it still collects much mineral deposits and the manual recommended using this for cleaning. I sprinkle this on bottom of my water boiler as well as on a wet sponge for cleaning the inside walls and I really am pleased with the way this powder here works. It really makes the inside of my water boiler shine like new so I highly recommend this for cleaning stainless steel cookware, just be sure to rinse well so all the powder residue gets removed after cleaning. I am a product reviewer but I paid full price for this, it is not a product that i got for free or at a discount.

I really like this product, but the price is way to much.

This is the only cleanser that can get my glass cook top clean. Over the years I couldn’t seem to get it clean. After reading the label i realized you don’t need the specific “cookware” type. You can use either of the BKF cleaners. I used this once and it does the job. That being said, I paid way too much for it here on Amazon. You can get it at the big box stores for $1.79 per can. I didn’t know, but I do now. Other then that, it’s a good cleanser.

This stuff is amazing! We just started using stainless steel cookware, and we learned how easily it stains. I tried ajax and got pretty much no results at all. So I read up on what’s the best thing to use for cleaning stainless and everyone was recommending Bar Keepers Friend. I ordered it, and as soon as it arrived I hit up all of our stainless pots and pans. This stuff cleaned everything off and made it all look like new with little effort. All I did was dilute it with a little bit of hot water and scrubbed with the scouring pad that’s on the back of your regular sponge. I don’t use steel scouring pads because I know from previous experience it can scratch up your pots and pans. A couple of minutes scrubbing, little elbow grease in the stained/burnt areas, and you’re done. I also clean up our sink with this stuff same way as the pots and pans, just a little scrubbing and it makes the sink look beautiful.

So many people complain about cooking with stainless steel, because of food sticking to the cookware.

Five stars does not do this miracle cleanser justice!

Having added an increasing amount of stainless steel appliances and cookware to our kitchen, we’ve come to realize that having a great stainless steel cleaner on hand is an absolute must. That said, over the past year, we’d gone through just about every environmentally responsible stainless cleaner that we could find locally and not one of them successfully removed the built up stains or discoloration that so often comes with frequent use. Finally, we decided to buy Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleanser and Polish on Amazon, after discovering that it is bleach-free, biodegradable and non-abrasive. I had heard good things about it, but having not used it before, and having had such bad luck with finding a decent cleanser locally, I had my reservations about how well it would work. Those reservations are now gone!

Why does almost half of America’s food go to waste?

Roughly 40 percent of food produced in America never makes it to the table. Whether it rots in the field, is trashed at the supermarket, or thrown out at home, NPR’s Allison Aubrey looks at why good food is being discarded, and what can be done to prevent it.
