I was looking for something very simple to make bathing my dog in the tub a little easier.

Works great but you need to tweak the install

I know that a lot of people have labeled this product as “crap,” but I have to say that it’s changed our household and solved a very big problem of having one shower and one bathtub and two people who both like showers and separate bathrooms. The key is the installation, and it may take a few times to secure it just right. Trust me, you will have a few “Jerry Lewis” moments with water spouting all over the place, but once it’s installed right, it works great. The key is to use an adjustable O-clamp (they’re like two bucks at hardware stores) and secure the clamp over the part that goes over the tub faucet. Use a flat head screw driver and tighten the heck out of the clamp–I mean really screw it on tight. My place was built in the early 1980’s and has a typical square opening faucet. It was tough to get it to fit but if you move it side to side and apply pressure, it eventually fits over the spout. Sit in the tub when you do this, not from the side. If you need the shower head to secure to the shower wall, for about 12 bucks you can buy a fixture that sticks on just about any surface and holds the nozzle in place. Once you get that nozzle positioned in the right direction, don’t ever touch it again; leave well enough alone or it will fall off. Also, if your home has high water pressure (the kind that takes your freckles off), turn the shower on slowly instead of just cranking it on full power at first. If you can do this, you will convert your tub into a great shower for under 30 bucks! If the manufacturer is reading this, the instructions are bleak at best and should add installation tips so people won’t toss this simple but true device and complain that they “were had.” It’s a great product but it needs a little TLC.

Works with a bit of modification.

I gave this 4 stars because, after considering the performance AND the price, it was worth it to me. It’s not perfect, and it won’t work for everyone but it was cheap and it solved a minor problem I had satisfactorily.

Pretty good portable shower head.

Ok, so I was reluctant to purchase this due to all of the negative reviews. Here’s what I found using this:

Lol, this seems to be a hit or miss product. I’ll include some photos of my faucet, hopefully they will help someone…

Can definitly work, but you may need to do a bit of leg work yourself.

This would not fit our bathtub faucet but fits the faucet in the sink about 4′ away. I am going to cut the hose, insert a couple of double ended male hose barbs, and splice in a piece of plastic tubing to lengthen the hose. This will allow us to bathe our dog in the bathtub and hopefully keep the room and ourselves somewhat dry (fingers crossed). It is pretty cheap, which makes the fact that I needed to do a bit of fabricating less annoying to me. It will definitely not fit every faucet, and therefore everyone’s experience with this will vary. It would certainly help if you have a round faucet (as far sealing) and if it had a diameter of lass than 1.5″ I would say. It would also help if there was a bit of a bell end/flare at the bottom of the faucet to help the rubber cup from slipping off.

Very good. I did have to heat water in the microwave for 5.50 minutes and soaked the firm but pliable like plastic. I applied it to a slightly “L” shaped older faucet made in 1961 timeframe. Did not need to apply so much water pressure as the water comes out perfectly and exactly the same. I used a zip tie to tighten the attachment. I was able to shower without having to remove the sprayer. I was able to wash my dog so much easier … it was so amazing for both … me not having to use multiple cups of water and for the dog that he did not have to have glasses of water ran over his eyes , nose … his face. I got to use a face mask for the first time in awhile on my face , neck and upper back and got to wash the mask off with the sprayer. My face never felt so clean and no water to clean up as it stayed in the tub and the water and mask went right down the drain. I got to sit down on the tub base and shaved my legs with such ease and did not have a shaving like hair ring around the inside of the tub … I used the sprayer to wash the waist right down the drain. I got to spray soap scum dissolving cleaner in the tub and nicely sprayed all the yuck right down the drain. I used common sense when buying and making a decision that best fit my case and am happy I did not get on the band wagon of complainers. This is perfect … so glad I purchased this !!! Ty Amazon!!!

I live in an apartment with two showers, and a tub in the master bathroom. The tub is used exclusively to bathe my dog, and I was getting tired of pouring water over him with a cup. I have had hosed shower heads in previous dwellings and decided to get this as a cheap fix. I see where people seem to be having issues with this because they don’t realize that you need to force the large rubber end over the faucet. It doesn’t just squeeze on to the aerator and you’re done. This must be forcefully wrapped around the entire faucet head (I mean FORCED as the description suggests; this takes some elbow grease). I think the majority of reviews that say its too big, or the opening is too small don’t realize that this must be jammed over the entire output of the faucet. In my situation, I did this and noticed a slight leak out of the bottom, which I fixed thanks to another reviewer, MaryAnnG’s suggestion of using an O-clamp to close the gap. If you don’t think you have it in you to jam this on to your faucet, then you may want to research a more expensive and specific type of solution.
