Customer Reviews

4 stars, not a perfect product but not priced as a perfect product! I will keep it.

Here’s why I give it an overall score of 4/5. All in all, for the price, it’s a good product. Relative value it what it’s all about, and there is certainly value here. First of all, the size I ordered was a twin, for my almost 6 year old. Secondly, the box came in a 20-25 lb box, about 42x13x13 inches. The packaging was filthy, but that’s okay because…

Great, Real Mattress (Review from 6ft Man)

I could not be happier with this mattress. Most of the reviews I saw on here made me question whether or not it was meant to be used as a real, every-night mattress for an adult. It is. I am a 6ft, 190 pound man who does not move around much when I sleep. I bought the Twin XL since I don’t need size laterally and I live alone. It unfolded and expanded as soon as I got it out of the packaging, and laid down on it within 20 minutes. It felt firm and fully supportive like a spring mattress, but memory-foamy as I sunk into it and it contoured to my body. It is SO comfortable. Combine that with the fact that it came quickly through Amazon Prime, and it is a family-run company, I could not be more satisfied. I will update if somehow I start sleeping terribly or something, but so far this bed is wonderful and exceeds my expectations.

Great mattress for someone picky

I’m a uni student who has recently suffered severe lower back pains from the constant sitting, even going to a specialist for this problem. Since then I’ve recovered, and having to move without a truck, figured it was time to retire my spring mattress that I’ve used with a cheap foam topper. (I’ve also tried several pricey mattresses at my parents’ house and at various hotels.) I’m a 130lb back/side sleeper, and this mattress is GREAT. MUCH, MUCH better than the IKEA ones my friends have, and cheaper! It has the perfect medium softness and you “sink” into it slightly, but not much. I have a memory foam pillow but this is definitely more firm than memory foam, but you won’t need a topper. (Also appreciate the thickness – the thicker the better, I say.) This is from someone who has sworn by mattress toppers (usually some sort of fluffy pillow top). It is also quiet, and doesn’t smell at all. I have an allergy to paint and plasticky smells make me feel ill, but this mattress didn’t bother me even though I slept on it the first night.

Too soft for me, but otherwise well-made; O.K. for sleeping upright on my back in a reclining bed.

This is a soft mattress. One really sinks down into it. I used this mattress for a few days on my Craftmatic bed. If one likes to lay on one’s back in a reclining position, this bed provides good support without creating pressure points. However, I sleep on my side, and it made my back and neck sore from the very first night of using it. It also feels warm (and this is the winter; what would it be like in the summer?) I have never slept on a foam mattress before, so in all fairness to the manufacturer, sinking deeply into this type of mattress may be the way foam mattresses were meant to be designed. In all fairness, the high quality of the mattress pleasantly surprised me. It reflated within a few minutes, and it looked just as it did in the picture, with nice, fully-formed and symmetrical corners in a good cover. It is nice looking. I’m sure people who like this type of mattress, who sleep on their backs, or who weigh considerably less than my bulky 250 pounds will rate it 5 stars, and the manufacturer deserves credit for providing a well-made, affordable product like this one. I rated it 3 stars because it is not right for me, but nevertheless intend to keep this mattress as a spare in the event that someone in our family is required for medical reasons to sleep on their back in an upright position. It is also useful as an emergency mattress.

Comfortable, but only 7.75 inches thick and 74 inches long.

Good mattress, but not exactly what I expected. I give it 4-stars for comfort but only 3-stars because it is only 7.75 inches (not 9). I would not have bought this mattress at this price for a 7 or 8 inch mattress and would have instead bought DreamFoams other 7 inch mattress, for a lower price. Here’s the basis for my review:
It never expanded fully. The edges are badly compacted/deflated, even after several days (it says to wait up to 24 hours for full expansion). The corners are only 1–2 inches thick, compared to 7–9 inches thick in the middle. I’ve read other comments, questions, and answers, and this apparently is a very common defect with the product. You might be lucky and get one that inflates right away — otherwise, you’re stuck trying to return an item that’s heavy and impossible to re-package.
