Note: For some reason Amazon is listing this product in the children’s toys/games category, which it’s clearly not. Anyway, moving on…

Perfect for beds where mattress sits on wood slats

Works perfect for a bed that has been hard to find a rail for. My daughter’s new big girl bed has slats for the mattress to sit on. Most bedrails nowadays don’t fit that type of bed. Having tried a few other types and had no success, I found this KidCo rail. It fits awesome, does not move and is a great height. It does have ugly black warning label writing on the front that the stock photo doesn’t show but it doesn’t bother me. If you have a bed that has slats this is great!

Great rail for pillow top mattress.

The rails are tall enough to keep my grandchild from rolling off the bed. The pillow top mattress on the bed had made regular rails useless. The straps that are intended to run under the mattress are a nice feature, but would be even better if they could be unsnapped and removed. I don’t need them and have to coil them up (or cut them off). The biggest disappointment is the warning verbiage written along the length of the rail. (This is the reason for 4 stars) Just plain ugly! The warning is 30 inches long and 3 inches high and written in English and French. (I actually measured it) And you can’t cover it up. I’m considering using fabric paint and covering it. I’m sure some lawyer thought anyone requiring a bed rail must have such a low IQ that they need extra long, extra large warnings, but seriously, print them up on a piece of paper or a small tag and let me figure out how to use the bed rail.

We bed share and I wanted something, just in case. We have a king size bed and this fit perfectly! It’s high enough off the mattress that i don’t have to worry about my 8 month old rolling off in his sleep.

Does not work with out twin bed w/o a box spring.

We removed the box spring from our daughter’s mattress so it would fit the bed better and be safer for her to get in and out of. Other reviewers were able to use this product with slats so I knew I might have to adjust some things but I should get it to work. I ordered “Classic Brands Wooden Bed Slats” to replace the four slats that came with the vintage bed. I simply added the two original boards between the new slats to provide a solid frame for the bed rail.

This comes assembled, simple design, easily adjusts to any size of bed ( I have a king sized I comfort series with contouring adjustable base) and I was able to apply it by myself without lifting my rather heavy mattress. I absolutely love it! I cosleep and my baby is beginning to learn to roll. This was for my comfort and peace of mind. I see being able to use on a toddler bed as well.

King bed with slats

It was exactly what I needed. I have a king size bed with a pretty deep mattress. This was my 2nd attempt at making a rail work. The first one I bought was the kind that flips down. The problem was the side boards on my bed didn’t allow room for the joints. The other problem was that it was not tall enough to make it worthwhile. I found this after quite an effort. I made it work with my slats by taking the box that it was shipped in and flattening it out. I laid it down in top of the slats. Then I had a solid foundation to keep the bars from falling through. It works well. It’s tall enough to keep from rolling over and it’s snug…not flimsy at all. I’m giving 4 stars because it was I little pricey in my opinion. But it works so it was money well spent. I sleep better knowing the bed is safe.

LOOOVE!

My 2 year old like to crawl into my bed in the middle of the night, every night. For awhile I was just using a pillow to try to prevent him from rolling off the bed. Not my proudest mommy decision (and luckily he never rolled off). I found this on amazon and have slept like a baby ever since! No more waking up 10 times a night to check on him. This brought great piece of mind. It was super easy to put on too, even for one person. Took about minutes. Just straps that slide between the mattress and box spring, with a disc that comes out the other end to hold it in place.
