10-18-16 not a paid or gift for review. This fan compared to the Holmes oscillating lil blizzard. Well it’s like comparing toilet paper to a corn cob. This fan being the toilet paper. The selection choice is perfect. A very soft breeze up to a pretty comfortable one to sit near. This fan is extremely quiet . The fact that it splits and has a multi direction is nice to help in the oscillating. Hope this helps. It is definitely worth the extra money. 10-28-16 appx my 2nd fan arrived on 10-22-16 appx. this fan make a slight noice while oscillating.. so ill return after my new arrives.

Good Airflow, Not As Quiet As I Expected

Overall, I like it, but it’s noisier than I expected based on the other reviews. It’s got a slight rattle/turbulence that can be annoying, even on the lowest setting. Sounds sort of like there’s a single-propeller plane buzzing through the sky, but off in the distance.

Works well!

I own two of these fans. I purchased both in 2011 a couple of weeks apart. I loved the first one so much that I purchased the second one. I don’t like the heat very much, so I use both of these 6-8 months steadily throughout the year. That means we’re talking A LOT of use over the past 6 years (I am writing this in July 2017). I am buying a third one right now so I can have one in my office. The two I currently own have been going strong with absolutely no issues. I’ve never heard them creak, but then I don’t use the oscillating function very often. On the occasion that I do use it, no movement noise. I use one while sleeping which is steadily aimed right on me, so no oscillating, and it’s quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep. Just regular fan noise but not too loud. It has three settings on it for how strong you want it to blow. It’s not very large but it sure does do the job! I highly recommend this product!

It’s a nice desktop fan. Not too big and not too small. Has good air circulation and an option to oscillate (automatic turning) the flow. You can even manually turn the top half and have it go in separate directions (though not 360 deg–more like 120deg turns).

10/10 Would buy again

I purchased this fan to keep cool at work. The temperature in the building fluctuates all the time, even in the summer. I have it sitting on my desk, approximately 2 feet away. The first setting is slightly noisy, but helps make a little white noise to drown out other noises in the office. The fan spends most of it’s life on the second (medium) setting, with oscillation on. I would guess it oscillates roughly 30 degrees in each direction. It had a slight plastic smell at first, but it was gone within a day or two. The fans are centrifugal, so the stream of air is strong and consistent compared to a fan with regular blades. Overall a great product, would recommend it to someone who needs a fan in their office/on their desk.

Perfect for bathroom or bedroom! A little louder than I would have liked but works great!

Finally! The perfect desk fan!

I’ve been trying to find the perfect desk fan and I FINALLY found it! I’ve tried fans that were way too loud and then those that were quiet enough, but didn’t move any air. Some of them even spattered a little oil from time to time – not good, especially when you’re using the fan on your desk and you have papers lying about. I didn’t like handing my boss paperwork spattered with oil. But this fan is perfect in my mind. It has three speeds – the highest setting is a little loud for my office space, but the lowest setting is quiet and still moves a good amount of air. The oscillating component just makes it all the better – although, because you can point the top and bottom parts in different directions, it covers most of my cube without oscillating. I haven’t seen a hint of oil either. I haven’t had the fan that long yet, but from what I’ve seen so far, I would highly recommend it!!
