My son loves Star Wars. Darth Vadar is his favorite. When I seen this clock I just had to buy. It’s an add to the rest of his collection.

Nice LEGO Clock

Our boys love this clock. They love everything LEGO and this looks great on the shelf. The boys like the easy on back light that is turned on by pressing down on the figures head. I do not know how long the batteries will last, but we will find out in time. Their previous wall clock was battery operated so needing batteries is not an issue, also one less thing that needs to be plugged in. Batteries did come with it and there is a tab you need to pull that keeps them from making connection to keep them new until you are ready to use the clock. I was surprised that the figure is just as pose able as a regular LEGO person with the exception of the head, since it is used to turn the back light on and for the snooze on the alarm clock it does not move. You can have it stand or sit whichever you prefer, though sitting position does feel like it will be less likely to be knocked over by cat or kids rough housing near it. The time and alarm are also very easy to set.

Not for heavy sleepers or ignorers

We have both the Yoda and Red Ninjago Lego Clocks for our 2 sons bought 2 Christmases ago when they were 4.5yo and 6yo (so very durable). These clocks are great in all aspects until my kids learned that they can ignore or sleep through the alarm ONE long-loud time, so then it won’t alarm again and they can sleep longer (until I come get them). If they pressed the heads to snooze, it resets the alarm and would go off again. That was fine when we first got them since they were younger, now that they are older and we’re trying to let them be more responsible for their getting up and ready, it’s time to search for an alarm clock that they can’t sleep through. One that will alarm until they get up and turn it off themselves which means having to lift their heads off the bed…and, hopefully, wake up!

Up and at ’em!

My 8 year old always had a VERY hard time getting up in the mornings. I tried coaxing, yanking blankets off, snuggling with him, flipping lights on and everything else I could think of. Now his feet are hitting the floor on the 3rd or 4th “beep”! It’s made our mornings so much easier! He loves that it wis a Star Wars character and likes that he can move the arms and legs. Only downside is that I wish the backlight would stay on but I guess that would run the batteries down too much. We’re going on 5 months with no battery changes so far. A good buy for a first alarm clock!

Bought it as a gift for my 7 year old son who hated his last alarm clock…needless to say that is not the case with this one…he held it in his lap while he watched empire strikes back and then brought it to bed with him…when it went off this morning he carried it around with him while he did his morning routine…no arguments or fussing….let’s see how long his love affair with it lasts…

Great purchase for grown ups too

I bought the Stormtrooper model 5 years ago in graduate school because I was worried about the power going out and missing class or exams. I think it adds a lovely nerdy charm to my bedroom and is a nice personal touch, even as an adult. The battery has lasted 5 years so far. I also like not immediately seeing work emails when the alarm goes off and bopping the head of a Stormtrooper to snooze. It’s a nice way to wake up and start the day.

A fun addition to the nightstand.

The LEGO alarm clocks are so much fun to have and to use. This was purchased for my 7 year old son, but we ended up buying another one for my father because he thought it was so neat. Easy to use and set – the buttons are on the back and very self explanatory. The display is nice and large, and clear to see. It illuminates by pressing down on Yoda’s head. The alarm is clear without being too loud, and accelerates in speed the longer you take to turn it off. The quality is what I have come to expect from a LEGO branded item. The arms and hands are fully movable and posable, but unlike some of the other LEGO alarm clocks, the legs are fixed and do not move. One thing to definitely note is that the Yoda clock is smaller than other clocks (I have only the LEGO Batman clock to compare it to) – similar to how the Yoda MiniFig is smaller in stature to regular sized MiniFigs. He is still really neat and cute, but good to know that he’s shorter and has stationary legs due to his stature. My boys love having their own clocks, and they love having their favorite LEGO MiniFig characters in oversized form on their nightstand. My dad loves his, too :)
