Cheaply made, but does the job

Considering the cheap cost of this platform, it’s an *okay* deal, but JUST okay.
Good for the price

for $139 bucks and free shipping, this bed is a good deal. Yes, it’s 100% high density particle board, but you will be hard pressed to find something that isn’t in this price range. I was looking for a good, sturdy, simple platform for my memory foam mattress, and that’s exactly what I got. I don’t know what’s going on with all the negative reviews saying this thing is hard to put together. If you can put together a bookshelf from Wal-mart, you can put this together quicker and easier. It took me about an hour and a half to do it by myself and I didn’t encounter any difficulty with it. The only part that is a pain is screwing in the moulding as the last step because you have to prop the bed up and get down there and screw upward. If you’re trying to do this part alone, it will be made much MUCH easier if you have some sort of clamp you can use to hold the rail in place while you drive the screws in.
Durable, easy setup, watch the labeling

The is a nice looking platform bed frame. My wife is Japanese so she likes the low profile which is what she’s accustomed to. I set this up by myself and I’m a small guy. I just moved a few pieces at a time to the bedroom. The only complaint I have is that my P and P1 pieces were mislabeled. So you can add about 5 – 10 minutes on the install time because that’s how long it took me to figure it out. Some reviews mentioned that they received the full size frame instead of a queen. I was worried about this upon initial viewing of the item because it did look small. But my memory foam queen mattress fits perfectly. As far as durability, well let’s just say that my wife and I are a young couple and it’s holding up pretty good so far. We have a large German Shepherd that occasionally hops on the bed and it holds all three of us with no problem. I now understand what the color chocolate means. This is a very dark brown.

Very good product and price.. The delivery was fast.. Everything was okay.. Took me 4hours to put it together but i was by myself tho.. So its possible to install it by one person.. i only used screw driver.. The instructions were okay.. Over all wasn’t hard to put together. Im happy with it. Thanks to the seller.
Nice sturdy frame

The first time it shipped out, I had a few broken pieces so had to wait for it to be picked up and another to be shipped out. It was pretty easy to put together just time consuming. Had a few dents on the second package, but I wasn’t going to wait for another shipment for a few dents. Overall, the customer service was pretty quick and the frame is sturdy just a little heavy so you would need two people to carry/move it.
Should make it a year, maybe???

We have been using this for a couple weeks now and its not working out!!! the top platform piece slides around a bit on the bottom box piece… all of the stoppers that put on to keep that from happening kind of just came off, which I found to be a nuisance… Also the platform is in 2 pieces which are separating as well so the hole thing just slides around all willy nilly!! The directions were followed,… and if we climb in and out of bed gently I believe we will be able to make this frame last another year maybe, however, sooo disappointing to have something start falling apart after only owning it for a couple weeks!!
I bought this a few months ago and it still stinks. The wood is cheap, and i think the majority of the smell might be coming from the big sheet of particle board that the bed sits on. Speaking of which, that part is really two parts. That is understandable, seeing as how it probably greatly reduces shipping costs and makes getting it places easier. It’s a little hard to explain maybe, but when assembling, you have the two boards that you have attached the trim to. The boards have predrilled spots for a hole/peg locking mechanism. First of all, that doesn’t work so well. Then, once it is together, it doesn’t line up well. IF you are able to get that lined up, the trim doesn’t line up. So basically, halfway up your bed the trim doesn’t line up with itself. And sometimes it will split apart and leave a bit of a gap. I can live with that, since we don’t really have company in our bedroom. But that toxic smell on the other hand…Unless you can air it out for half a year in a well ventilated room before you use it, I would pass on this bed.
