More Trouble Than Benefit

I bought this during a ‘Today’s Special’. At the time I am writing this review, the steamer is priced at $95. If I had paid that for it, I would have returned it, no matter how hard it was to re-package it! When I bought it, I thought it would be a time saver. It was not. I could iron everything in the time it took me to steam everything with this steamer. For me, what is even worse is I think the iron would have done a much better job.

Easy to use and heats up fast!

The only reason I gave this four stars is because of the location of the hose. It is located on the front of the bottom unit, which makes sense because it’s located right in front of the hanging garment, but the nozzle rest is on the back side. Sometimes while putting the nozzle back on the nozzle rest, it knocks the garment off the hanger. Other times, I have to decide which direction to wrap the hose to the back in order to use the nozzle rest. But, overall this is a minor annoyance. The 1500-Watt steamer heats up really fast and really puts out hot steam. Another big plus is the size of the water tank. This IS a very important asset to look for in any brand of garment steamer. No one wants to constantly turn off the unit and refill the water tank and wait for it to heat up again, even though it only takes a few seconds. I use distilled water which takes care of all the complaints people have about clogged hoses and steamer heads. Other advantages of this brand and model is the removable hanger, the choice to use your own hanger, and the cross bar with hanger clips lets you move it up and down for short pants or long pants. I’d definitely buy this unit again and I just purchased one for my stepmother’s birthday.

Due to my laziness of not hanging my clothes right …

Due to my laziness of not hanging my clothes right after the dryer is done, I need to straighten my clothes often. Once I used this steamer, I threw away my clothes iron, because it cuts down straightening clothes by a lot. I have used it countless of hours and it’s still doing its job quite well, especially for SunBeam which I’m not really a fan of, but I am with this steamer.

Not bad at all.

I used to work retail and used the big fancy pants Jiffy steamer, so I was ready to be critical of this inexpensive, home option. It works quite well. Flip the power button and the steam is flowing in less than a minute (far quicker than the commercial Jiffy steamer). The foldable top hanger is great for sliding shirts over without undoing the buttons. The clip-on bottom hanger is rather useless. This item is great way to quickly make your clothes look good.

This is WAAAAY better than ironing

Picked this up for a great price during a woot deal, and I was blown away at how much easier it is to rid wrinkles with a steamer versus an iron. I have ruined a few shirts I REALLY liked (RIP guys) in the past by not paying attention to the tag or leaving the iron in one spot for too long. This is virtually impossible with a steamer. I can also heat it up and fully steam a shirt in about 2 minutes, aka 1/10th of the time it takes to find and setup the ironing board, plug in the iron, and arrange your garment not awkwardly on the ironing board. The only thing I don’t like about this product is that the spring clips have flat surfaces and cannot really support a pair of hanging trousers. Other than that, I haven’t really used any of the attachments. I think this is a solid purchase!

Good steamer for delicate fabrics.

It’s okay for the price. It’s my first time using a steamer in place of an iron. It doesn’t really replace an iron for doing heavy-duty ironing like thick cotton or creasing pants, but it works great for light fabrics like rayon tops or silk dresses. For light fabrics it works better than a regular iron because it doesn’t damage the fabric and it get the wrinkles out quickly and easily.

Easy to set up, would purchase again.

Easy to set up. Took a little bit to learn to use it, but then again so did ironing for me as well. Love the bottom clips that hold things tight while you steam so that you don’t have to have 4 arms. Once I got the hang of it, it was super easy to zip through many clothing items and my fabric. I use it to straighten my fabric before pinning and cutting the fabric. I’ve been using it for several months with no issues. It heats up very quickly, the bottom is heavy enough to keep even the heaviest suit jack from toppling over. Overall, I would purchase again.
